The Role that you will be playing is you are a soldier in the American army. The A is for your audience and your audience will be a German Citizen who is considering joining the Nazi party. Your format for writing is going to be a letter. You will pretend you are writing a letter to a German citizen who is considering joining the Nazi party and in the letter persuade the German citizen to join the American army. I will be looking for detailed facts from the book that you need to include in your paper of why the American army is better to join than Hitler’s Nazi army. Be sure to include what is going on, important people and events, and write as if you are an American soldier during this time period. You may refer back to the book to assist you with important people and dates.

Be sure to include how you feel and each character feels in each scene. Make sure to have all the parts of a narrative which include, lead, rising actions, climax, resolution, and a theme. Before beginning writing your narrative create a story arch with these important parts and use this to assist you.
